This was a pretty great aquarium. Big and spacious, which is great if you are with a big group or just like a big space to wander around in. I had 'liked' their Facebook page, so I found out when the mermaids would be there so we could time our visit. That was a special little bonus. Loved it!! The IMAX movie was pretty good too. You can pick one with price of admission. Overall great experience. Go!

This is a very cool place to go. It is a little pricey to get in. I got tickets half off from our local radio station website. Your ticket does include one free movie in their theatre. They have a few different movies and times to choose from. They have different exhibits such as parokeet point, Mississippi river, gulf coast and more. You can watch them feed the penguins. You can also pay a little bit to get some food to feed the sting rays. They have a section where you can touch sting rays. There is a food court where you can grab a quick bite to eat. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again at some point in the future. They do not have parking but you can park in a public parking lot close by and they will validate $5 off of your parking fee.

Pretty disappointing, especially after spending $75 for two adults, one 5-year old, and a 1-year old who was (fortunately) free. This included a military discount. When we got to the end, after only an hour, we were blown away it was already over. A large part of this aquarium is about the Mississippi River (who cares). If it helps at all, the aquariums of Myrtle Beach, Atlanta, & even New Bern, NC, blow the New Orleans aquarium away. At best this experience was worth $10/person. I'd recommend saving your money for something else your kids will appreciate.

When you pay 30+$ for your tour to an aquarium you would expect more than they actually offer. The presentations could be improved by adding more lights to each tank so as not to make them like in a fish store. Also the total amount of exhibits and fishes does not worth the price. Theater is fine. Seen much better aquariums elsewhere like in Boston.

This place is amazing for young children. If your family is in NOLA, definitely give this place a round. It was worth every penny to see the excitement in my daughter. There is a zoo. Right on the river. The other reviews that were down on this place seemed to feel the price was too much. Considering that a po'boy costs $15, an entire day at this aquarium is well worth $29.
