Definitely recommend going on a weekday but could even be a nice weekend trip if you don’t mind the crowds. The stores are laid out nicely along with the food court. It was probably one of the best maintained food courts I’ve seen. You can eat lunch before or after you shop all while seeing the ships that come into the dock. It beats going to Baton Rouge for an outlet mall.
The Riverwalk has all the shops that you need! The food court has all sorts of foods to fit all sorts of lifestyles. You can dine inside or outside. It's a great place for shopping with your friends, by yourself, or with your family. Also they validate parking! If you spend over $20 in the mall.
Large area. Strung out through levels. Very comprehensive. Clean and contemporary decor. (Lights were out in a parts when we were there with no warning concerning inconvenience to handicapped or strollers needing escalators and elevators). I'm sure it was temporary.
Plenty of different retail and restaurant types to choose from (in virtually all price ranges). Lovely little view on the river/of the city. Huge parking garage so no need to worry about parking. Lots of outdoor walking, definitely a cute spot to spend a whole day.
This was a pretty awesome mall. Lots of stores, variety of types (clothes, jewelry, kitchen, souvenir, food stuffs, etc) I was here back in 2007 and trust me it is so much better now. I found an awesome puffy coat at the Calvin Klein store. Love it. Not a lot of need in NOLA for a coat like that, but here in WA we are pretty cold this winter, so it's perfect.
