Warm, welcoming place; whenever I am in NOLA, I make a beeline for Touro. Fabulous rabbi, great staff. Torah study is lively and challenging!

If I lived here, I would join this congregation. We were on vacation in New Orleans and decided to call to request a tour of the synagogue. Two days later, we received a call. Rita (I am embarrassed to say I never got her last name) took us on a great tour of the shul. Nice people, very liberal philosophy. Clearly a vibrant community. The place is beautiful. We left feeling we had made new friends. So glad we called. If anyone from Touro reads this, you must contact me if you come to the Philadelphia area. I would like to return the kindness shown us.
