Visiting this location was not my choice this was something my wife insisted we had to do. After having touted the exhibits, I am glad that she did. Their numerous exhibitions were well worth going there.

Free bug salsa and chip tasting. Great for kids. Very informational. Some children may be afraid of the large fake bugs used as decor. There is a fun little movie you can watch while there. The butterfly section is absolutely mesmerizing and magical for everyone.

Obviously the butterfly room was beautiful, but their cafe was especially amusing. Their cafe specifically featured numerous types of bugs prepared for eating. Obviously not for the faint of heart or sensitive palate but I found it rather intriguing to see just how all of these things might taste.

Great exhibits. But in all the times I've been here, there's really nothing new. My son loves the butterflies though.

So many things to see, read & learn. You are never too old to play with bugs. Had a blast here & the butterfly garden was beautiful. Also plan on going to the Aquarium & buying combo tickets. Both are well worth the trip.

This is a place where kids of all ages can revel in what is cool about insects! I was particularly excited about the Butterfly room where one can interact with a myriad of species not generally encountered here in the USA. My wife and I were enthralled by the whole experience in spite of the influx of eager young people and teachers. One of the staff in articular fielded my spontaneous questions about how the center acquired all the species and patiently explained how they tracked the life span of each butterfly! Awesome place to go!

I don't like the security checkpoint at the entrance. Not really conducive to a family oriented place in my opinion. Guess this means they'll show up at Audobon and the Aquarium too.
