I highly recommend the tour! The museum curator was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic in sharing her information about the history and culture of mardi gras. The costumes were beautiful, but the stories behind it all made it that much more meaningful. Definitely a stop to make when in New Orleans!

It was an opportunity into a part of Mardi Gras few get to see. We had a private tour which was great. We met the founder, Mr. Mack, who also entertained visitors on a xylophone. Costumes were beautiful. There were opportunity to try on costumes & create your own Mardi Gras mask. Definitely a place to see!

After walking through and learning about Mardi Gras you are allowed to try on costumes. We had a blast dressing up and taking plenty of pictures.

I also loved dressing up and having my husband take my picture wearing the gowns and headdresses and masks; the closest I will ever become to being in mardi gras!
