It was an opportunity into a part of Mardi Gras few get to see. We had a private tour which was great. We met the founder, Mr. Mack, who also entertained visitors on a xylophone. Costumes were beautiful. There were opportunity to try on costumes & create your own Mardi Gras mask. Definitely a place to see!
After walking through and learning about Mardi Gras you are allowed to try on costumes. We had a blast dressing up and taking plenty of pictures.
highlights of our time spent in new orleans. We learned a lot about the history of krewes and costumes. The ceiling filled costume trains are displayed very uniquely. I also loved dressing up and having my husband take my picture wearing the gowns and headdresses and masks; the closest I will ever become to being in mardi gras!
