There are other coffee shops in the neighborhood, other bakeries, and other places to get breakfast or lunch. But where else you gonna get all of that plus live piano music by the likes of Tom McDermott? And in a relaxed, local-vibe setting? About as good as it gets for this Bywater boy.
It's awesome. Great cake. Super reasonable breakfast go cups, which is highly desirable for someone like me (living on a budget). Overall it's a really cool place. Not super hipstery or anything like that.
I just had the fluffiest, lightest, most tasteful quiche I’ve ever eaten. It was perfect in a way that almost moved me. Spinach Potato Quiche, a special, nothing pretentious but executed with brio.
I could probably write paragraphs about how much I like this place, and how awesome it is, but I'm going to keep it short and just say You must go and try it out everything there is wonderful. Extra added bonus you might just catch one of New Orleans own piano players tickling the ivories while you wait. Actually you never know who you might see in there!
