This place is a sketchy dive, and not the fun kind. It's the kind of dive where homeless alcoholics go to drink themselves to death and dwell on their mistakes. There are always heroine junkies hanging out there as well.
Needed to use the bathroom, which was a mistake! Both singlets smelled of urinal cakes covering up sewage; neither had a lock, and one toilet had no handle to flush. At that point if they'd been stocked with hand towels I would have been surprised.
Blundered in here by complete chance. Turned into a truly fun, yet weird day drinking experience. We met some of the usual characters, and heard some incredible stories......and I won a bet from the bartender to boot (yes I did). Definitely my favorite New Orleans bar so far.
Great "hole in the wall" bar. Fun bartenders and friendly locals, I love this place.
My home away from home in NOLA. If you want pretentious, keep walking. Great, beyond eclectic jukebox. 24/7.
Drinks were cheap though.
Drunk bartender kept mishearing my questions, then repeated back the order half wrong. After correcting her, we got our drinks with no incident, and her shift apparently ended.
