For a writer bar the Tv's and video poker ruin the authenticity but the fireplace is a nice touch. Again great for winter.
Coming from LA this is a cool place. Music, drinks pretty good. The Cajun Poutine was like stew nachos. Great for cold weather.
This was a real cool and mellow place. We went during the week of New Year's. Good music, and surprisingly good food. The staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back if there's a return trip to New Orleans.
Not the cheapest place, but worth the price for the atmosphere. Sophisticated and with a delicious kitchen that is usually open late night. A favorite place to stop after work or a rough day.
Good place for visitors to try out. Very close to the French quarter and they have good spirit. Drinks are nice and relatively cheaper. They have a good environment too.
Ordered (online) the Whitman Roast Beef and the Backspace Burger. The roast beef had way too much salt in it. I had to add more tomatoes and lettuce to the sandwhich in order to stomach it. The flavors were great, but whoever was in the kitchen that night was very heavy handed with the salt. On top of that, they forgot to put the fried oysters and swiss cheese on my Whitman Roast Beef. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because the Backspace Burger was good. Will not return.
