Really nice place and atmosphere. Good cocktails as well, the only thing is that it is a bit "too noisy". They need curtains or some kind of textile to get it a bit more tranquil and mysterious. But well worth a visit, so nice with the carousel that actually moves!
Really cool bar with good drinks. It is usually pretty crowded but it's a cool bar even if you aren't seated at the carousel. If you have a drink and wait a spot will probably open and you can squeeze in if you have a small group.
This bar is on all of the “must see” lists and is, indeed, very neat. However, don’t count on getting to sit at the carousel bar itself, which has surprisingly few seats which are always full. The bar was crowded during both of my visits, but the service was prompt and polite. Drinks were mixed properly, and the menu included a good number of quality classic cocktails.
This is an updated review. This is a very cool, full of literary history, top ten need to visit bar in New Orleans. However as other reviewers have stated it is tough to get a seat. Last few drinks have been light. Realized you must order with call brands in your order. That's why I gave it 4 of 5 stars.
First time there at the carousel bar beautiful scenery during Christmas. Nice friendly but elegant atmosphere and the drinks are amazing. I would definitely recommend the carousel bar.
