Outside - bar, tables, intimate seating area, perfect for a group.
Great atmosphere! Loved having only table candles (and Christmas lights) to light the whole place. Not only a fun place to hang out, Lafitte's is also a historical location...one if the oldest buildings in the city.
This is a bit small place with a chimney in the middle, yet very nice inside. All brick and wood. The service is quick, busy bartenders but cool. The is a side patio to relax and meet more people
My wife and I came here. We had a blast! Very historic place. Good times in the French Quarter. Got some cups from the bar. Had a voodoo daiquiri. It was okay. She had a Bloody Mary that was ever so delicious! If you’re walking through the French Quarter you should definitely stop by and say hi , and have a beer or two!
One of the coolest bars I'ved ever visited! The atmosphere here, which instantly transports you to what feels like an old-time pirate's cove of the 1700s, sets itself off from every other bar in New Orleans. The drinks are cheap and strong, so beware, especially the voodoo slush and hurricane. It is a place to sit and chat with friends, not get wild and crazy; this bar is meant to be different from the rest of Bourbon Street. This is definitely a must-see kind of place on any trip to the French Quarter.
First, Lafitte's stands as the oldest building constructed and still standing in the United States. Inside - hardwood beams supporting the ceiling, low lights, live music, a good choice of digital juke box tracks.
