Walked up and down Frenchman Street and sat in on one music set which was pretty good. The bar had a limited menu and we wanted to eat. When we saw the menu at Marigny Brasserie we went in the band was setting up. The food was exceptional! the band was fantastic, the restaurant is spacious, clean, friendly service, nice bathrooms. This restaurant has it all. Save yourself some time and go there directly you won't be disappointed.
This is a wonderful restaurant for people with food allergies, in my case Soy. The chef(s) are extremely accommodating, and even come to the table to help select a meal, making sure everything is safe! Not only that, the food is definitely some of the best you'll find in the city! What a great place to have in NOLA, where most restaurants really don't care, just want to make their $$. The wait staff is also always friendly and super helpful and I recommend this sweet Frenchman's spot 1000%!!
The food was good, but we waited nearly an hour to get it, and only after flagging down a different waiter, who found our waitress sitting with her friends in a booth in the back! I would have ordered something else, but we were pretty much ignored. Not the usual NOLA level of service, we'll try another place if we're ever in that area again.
The food was just about okay for the price. The quantity left a lot more to be desired. If you're into unscale places which serve fancy but smaller portions of food then you might like it. Overall ambience was nice the singer that night was amazing! She more than made of for the okay food. Also our food was accidentally served to someone else and while our server came and informed us about it he presented a tepid apology for the mix up.
Nice atmosphere. Loved the live band. Can't rate the food cuz I didn't really eat. I did have an appetizer. The fried pickles. They were tasty. Also had a cocktail which was heavenly. Don't remember the name but it was a sparkling wine or champagne with lavender. I need to find that here in CT. If not, I'll have to master it myself.
