The prince and old soulful jams pulled my partner and I into the place as the wine hit just right in the night. We wondered away to continue down Bourbon street but ended up wondering right back in on our way the other direction. The name speaks to the looks but with the high celling it doesn't feel that stuffy.
This place gets points for being authentic. It is hands down the most unique bar I've ever been to. Dispite the goth/vampire like atmosphere, everyone seemed tame and the staff were very friendly. I didn't get bitten by any vampires, nor did anyone else in my party.
My favorite "hidden bar" in New Orleans. I was being shown the town by a native so I was lucky to come across the place. Discovered some really off the wall decor and some really nice and cool people. Also discovered the music of Rob Zombie here. Must see. Ask a local if you can't find it - after all it is rather a dungeon.
A must visit when you're in New Orleans. Very different from the rest of the area in a good way. The staff is chill and the drinks are fairly priced. Only disappointment was the JukeBox was an old school CD based one which was intermittent.
One of the coolest hidden bars I've been to let alone in New Orleans. It's themed as expected with creepy spooky decor and hidden little nooks and crannies. The music ranges from classic rock to 80s metal to newer heavier stuff. They nailed the atmosphere though. It's just cool. You walk down a really long corridor to get to it kind of like what you expect to see in a really well-done medieval themed haunted house. Drinks are cheap. No photography unfortunately but that just helps keep it's mystique.
