Absolutely refreshing coffee and tasty beignets!! I'm a huge fan of coffee with chicory and this is one rare place in the US where you get such coffee. There is always a line that usually moves really fast. Totally worth the wait. Note that they accept only cash. Menu is limited but the amazing experience & the history is all that matters.

it's a main tourist attraction for a reason. Fresh beignets that taste oh so good. It's something everyone needs to go to at least once while visiting New Orleans. Remember to bring cash as they're cash only. They do have a patio, but if you've got dogs I recommend ordering from their to go line and then walking to the park right next to them.
We visited the shop at around 10 pm and still it was packed. They had a good system to maintain & handle the crowd though. Despite the large no of people being served, the waitress was sweet & prompt. Their coffee (doesn't matter which one you order) & the sugar drowned donut were delicious. It's also an excellent people watching spot as the seating area is open on all sides with a view into the colorful streets of New Orleans.
The food is very good
Love it. Hot chocolate is very hot. Why do people wait in line when you can walk in sit down and order? Get your to go order while seated instead of waiting 45 minutes. Good service.
