Great stop on Frenchman, a little worn, but relaxing wisely closes early, like 5:00,, before the entertainment gets started.

A local favorite! Quite friendly local color and excellent customer service. They have even let a production crew invade the space a time or two while filming out front in the street. The coffee is GREAT an the variety of treats appealing. Clean modern bathrooms.
Great coffee, great cookies, great food, great people watching. Just out of the French Quarter on Frenchmen the small and cozy cafe if a welcome relief. The only problem is usually outside when eating and the usual over privileged dude brings his giant dogs onto a already small area to take over the entire sidewalk.
The food was good, but nothing phenomenal. Just good. The prices were a little high for what we got. I got the rose benedict with alligator sausage for $14.45. The sausage was an upcharge of $2. The amount of sausage on the benedict was NOT worth two dollars. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito with sausage add on for .50 cents. The amount of meat looked the same as mine, if not more. The coffee was watered down tasting, even though the shots were pulled fresh. They most likely need to change their roast, or aren't using espresso beans. The iced mocha I got tasted like chocolate milk. The cashier could be friendlier. If tips weren't split I would've tipped less.
