One of the best places in the bywater, Cake Cafe is a cozy neighborhood restaurant with a great menu. The breakfast egg menu and lunch specials are spectacular and they have a good vegetarian menu as well. They also have one of the best King Cakes in the city (Apple goat cheese and Pecan Praline are the best).
Great food, friendly service, the food came out fast. Dog friendly seating outside. Handicap accessible to the interior ( unsure about the bathroom). Order at the counter. Good coffee. Great biscuit!!!
Wonderful food, fantastic baked goods, the best king cake around (apple w/ goat cheese - to die for!), and friendly people. The seating could use some work... it's definitely not built for the kind of crowds it gets now, but that's the sign of them doing everything else SO RIGHT.
Terrific coffee, friendly helpful staff, DELICIOUS food. 3 of us walked from the French Quarter for breakfast. One high calorie dish with gravy and fried oysters. One vegetarian scramble. One healthy grits dish. All three very pleased. Will definitely return the next time I'm in town.
Love this place. There aren't too many tables but the food is amazing. We had the tofu scramble and the French toast. I highly recommend getting the fried potato. Coffee and silver wear are self serve but they do bring the food out. Great food and service!
