Tuesday is fried chicken with pimento Mac and cheese.

Mondays are red beans and rice with fried chicken.

The menu comprises a list of foods that are each prepared precisely how I believe food should be made. Ingredients are consistently excellent. Preparation is always spot on. The seasoning is usually right where I like it as well.

This was definitely better than I expected it to be. Pretty good po boys and seafood. Fried broccoli was amazing! It was a special and I could eat it everyday! Our waitress wasn't very pleasant, but it got very crowded very fast once they were open. Above average for New Orleans cuisine, but not a must stop.

I always start with the gumbo as it's one of my favorites in the city, but I finish with the pies as they possess the right proportion of crust to filling.

So I wasn't impressed off the bat but I'm so glad we stuck around. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes but wound up waiting over an hour. At first I was frustrated and wanting to leave but my friend and I figured we would stay, because it became comical... just to see how long we could possibly wait. After about 75 minutes we were seated. It's a popular place on Friday night! The food was amazing! The service was excellent. Highly recommend the gumbo and catfish. Can't wait to go back to try more of the menu!

Best Chicken & Waffles/Egg plate, and Tamales Appetizer in NOLA! Great Service and Owner comes out and talks to the Patrons. Family atmosphere and quick service! Grapefruit Mimosa and Brewed Ice Tea is on Point! Will definitely be back!

The butterscotch pecan pie is definitely worth the trip here, however their catfish was bland and was not seasoned well. Also their mac and cheese could have used a little salt and pepper. So if you like bland food go for it. However I will say that their chicken smelled scrumptious!
