Interesting museum with exhibits on hurricane Katrina and Mardi Gras. However was horrified by film of a bizarre custom connected to Mardi Gras whereby a live chicken is thrown around. That film need to be removed it's offensive.
A nice history of the state.
We came for the Katrina Museum. Great place to take a break from Jackson Square.
We went in and stood at the front desk to purchase our tickets for like five minutes. There were two people at the front desk and they were counting money. They did not even look up at us, and finally one of them said "oh, we'll be with you in a minute" and continued to count money. We decided to leave when it was apparent that counting the dollar bills was more important than selling us tickets. Don't go.
It was alright, but in comparison to so many other exhibits this one let me down. Thought it would be more of a "before and after" when it comes to pictures and such, but mainly consisted of a bunch of information, not the type we were looking for.
