The event I attended was planned for months. However, the park employees were cutting the grass while we were there. This stirred up all types of bugs. The grass for the most part was still too high. There was too many red ant piles to enjoy yourself. They just didn't prepare the park in advance.
Such a waste of a beutiful park. City of New Orleans is running its park to the ground. There are times where basic upkeep are not performed. Such as summer months where grasses are at least a foot high! The worst offence are the people that frequent the park. People are just rude and have zero manners. I see grownups eat crawfish and just leave the shells on the table when provided trash cans are just feet away!
I love it here. Especially the events that take place here. The water aerobics is great morning and evening times. I love the run track.
great place to walk or run on the Victory Track but man parking sucks. This is my neighborhood and the only park we have and there's other re recreational things even for kids. We don't have to leave the East to play tennis or have canoe rides. It's a family orriented park.
really cool park that's a great quiet safe place to take a nice walk. there is a back section that is currently under repair. which I sincerely look forward too. the park when finished will be as big as what is left of city park since it's been cut in half since the addition of a golf course that's over priced.
