Don't park here if you work in the Canal Place building. I was charged three times for event or holiday pay: Halloween, November 1st, and December 30, 2016. I have been a customer there since September 2016. On each of those occasions, I was charged 45 dollars. I explained to the attendants that I normally pay 12 for the day. On one occasion, I had to wait two months to get 33 dollars back due to a mistake on their part. On December 30, the lady was so rude, and said that the signs were posted since midnight. I told her that I talked to the guy, and he said that the lady on the 4th floor would adjust the rate. She said, no, and I should have seen the sign. I will now park in the adjacent lot right next to Starbucks for $10 a day.
Don't park there!!!....Paid initially....paid twice more via cell phone to extend...then as we were sitting down eating dinner got a warning that our time was about to expire but with NO EXTENSION ALLOWED!....We slammed down our meal and got back as fast as we could (one member of our party is handicapped), only to find our car had just been booted. No amount of reasoning with the attendent made any difference. $90 dollars to take the boot off! I never felt so ripped off in my life. We had a great time in NOLA and will be back...but will NEVER park in one of their lots again.
DO NOT PARK HERE!!! PREMIUM PARKING IS THE WORST PARKING I HAVE EVER BEEN!!! No stuff showing if you encounter any problem like the ticket doesn't come out. NO EARLY BIRD OFFERED!!! The picture shown on the google map is misleading!!!
My experience - Sunday of Memorial day weekend - was fine. Am not sure some of these reviews are for this garage, since there is no pre-pay here and I don't see how there could be booting. It's just a basic multi-level parking garage attached to a high-end shopping mall. You take a ticket when you go in, then pay at a machine before leaving. I parked from about 11 to 5 and paid $20. Someone who was paying in front of me had left their car there all night long and paid $60. But $20 is no biggie for parking around the French Quarter and I felt safer in the garage than on an open lot. Plus there is a Starbucks inside the adjacent mall.
I am a monthly parker and at least once a month I get stuck at the gate because my windshield pass is not working. You have to struggle to get someone on the phone, and when you do, they are rude and don't even bother to tell you why your pass wouldn't work. For $220 a month I would expect they could make their equipment work, ALL the time. You would do better to find another palace to park.
