My brother and I attended this class in February during our visit for the Rock n Roll Marathon. This was such a great unique experience. We still use the techniques we learned here to make jambalaya and gumbo whenever we’re craving for some Cajun food.
The food was delicious!!! Chef Kevin we had was so funny!!Really enjoyed it can wait to go back
My boyfriend and I took the hands on cooking class. Before we started cooking our chef, Matt, talked us through some NOLA food history. New Orleans has such a different experience than the rest of the country, it was so interesting to hear. There were about ten people in the class, so everyone was paired off and given a cooking station. The chef guides you exactly what to do while giving you the chance to do it yourself. There is also a helper in the kitchen to give you pointers or to ask your questions to. We made gumbo, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster crepes (my favorite part). It was truly an awesome, fun, and well planned experience.
This is the first cooking class I have ever been too. I will back for many more. Chef Brandon was amazing. He made the. Class really enjoyable. He taught us not just how to cook but where and why certain foods were popular
This was one of the highlights of my week in New Orleans! Chef Mark was informative, funny, and entertaining! I am glad I signed up for the hands-on class! It was totally worth the money. We ate excellent food that we prepared ourselves, practiced techniques, and enjoyed beverages. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
