Beautiful with great amenities. The road to the park is a bit rough and industrial. The park has so many amenities. The drive to downtown is only about 15 minutes. I am very happy here. Also the people here are very friendly!
This RV site is great. The staff are extremely friendly. They escort you to your site at check-in. Full hook up sites. The only reason I give it a lower rating is because of the location. It is in an area that doesn't feel great getting to. The roads are in terrible shape that lead you to the resort and it really rattled the RV around.
I'm here now and Loving it! Such a wonderful retreat. I'm working here and from NC so my first time here to this state and pitch, very humbling. God bless Pontchartrain RV Park. God bless all ppl. Very Nice Comfortable place. 5 stars baby! Yeah!!
Things that I liked: The bar/restaurant Is pretty good, With different events all the time, I particularly like bingo for booze. The water fall at the pool was a nice touch, It’s 15 minutes from many places, Spots are separated by vegetation, They have a movie about Katrina, lots of options about tours, a shuttle Bus and they pick up trash daily from your location.
Cool oasis in the middle of defunct industrial area. Level, fairly wide spots. There's an island with plantings between each spot giving a sense of privacy. You drive down a fairly decrepit road to get there. Doesn't look like much from the outside but is nice once you get in. Inexpensive shuttle to and from the French Quarter. We missed the last shuttle home. Uber was $13 to get back. We felt quite safe here.
There were things that I like about this place, and things that I did not like, decided on 4 stars. Things that I did not like: Hot tub was not great and separate from pool, it is very dusty and needs to be paved, you have to go through some pretty sketch neighborhood to get there, The road leading in is horrible, And spot 35 sewer line is 8 inches off the ground making it nearly impossible to properly drain your RV gray and black tanks.
