My friend and I stayed here recently. The hotel is clean with a very friendly staff. They are helpful with anything you might need and go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. Their breakfast is one of the best I have had.
Wonderful stay at the Best Western Bayou - room was spacious, clean - staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great (especially the waffles!) and was a nice addition. Only cons (and they were very little cons if you could even call them that) was that the internet was a little slow at times - the speed kept coming and going, and also that there is no elevator to the second floor. The nice man at the desk carried my bags up the stairs for me - so that really wasn't an issue. Would highly recommend.
The only downside is there are no restaurants close to the hotel, which is not a problem if you have a vehicle. We did not and we made it work without too much effort.
Always have had GREAT experiences at this particular location. This past visit not so much. The maintenance guy was AMAZING in his effort to correct the boiler issue the hotel was having. The front desk was also pretty good at trying to do what she could to remedy the situation within her power. Our last morning the front desk female not so much, mostly complained but apologized cause she was only one person. I will call the hotel directly, as I usually do to book, before visiting on my next trip to make sure the jacuzzi tub in my room is in proper working order. I usually love the stay and warmth of this place and is why I choose to stay here on my multiple trips to New Orleans.
Great experience. Spent four nights and was very impressed by the courtesy of the staff and cleanliness of the room and common areas. Also felt safe with the presence of security personnel. Highly recommend this hotel and will certainly return in future.
My stay was very brief (one night), but the staff was very pleasant and the room served it's purpose. There was no elevator to the second floor, though that may be due to there only being two floors. The heater in the room had a burning smell when I turned on the heat. Overall, it just had a 3-star feel because of the quality, but it was a positive experience for the price.
