Great location for those who want a little space from the French Quarter. The streetcar has a stop one block away. They also have free parking for guests, which is great.

Excellent breakfast that changes with everyday of the week. Clean room, hardwood floors, a seemingly unlimited supply of hot water.

However, the breakfast was delicious.

Great experience.

We really enjoyed our two nights at Creole Gardens. The courtyard is amazing, very colorful, calming, tons of tropical growth, very picturesque. Breakfast is free. Coffee and tea are 24/7. The breakfast is made to order but not overall too great. Hash browns were stale, microwaved and terrible. Eggs were decent.

Breakfast the next morning did take longer than expected to get started.

They are pet friendly with an extremely reasonable deposit.

We checked into a mansion one room, the room was very nice, clean, staff was great.

This is truly a piece of New Orleans culture. I am in town for a convention and this hotel offered a reasonable rate with breakfast included.

If you want a place to stay with old world New Orleans atmosphere, this Grand old mansion is it. It's colorful and quaint, only one block from the trolley car which is the best way to travel here. With multiple restaurants close by. The beds are really firm but the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere make up for it. They offer entertainment on Thursday and Friday nights in their own little nightclub with music and good food. Their prices are reasonable.

The architecture of the house in antique. I had the privilege of talking at length with the owner who told all about the interesting history of this hotel.

Overall, a very good experience.

Breakfast is between 7:30 and 9:30 Monday through Friday. By 7:30 some of the self-serve items were placed out, but the made-to-order breakfast did not get started until about 8:00. This may be the normal practice here, but I understood the made-to-order breakfast to start at 7:30.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, parking was easy, on-site and free. Walking distance to st-charles, the streetcar, magazine St. and the CBD we're all very accessible.

I stayed on a Thursday night so I had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Davis Rogan.

The one problem is the lack of black out curtains and this hotel keeps their lights on all night. The first night we could read in bed because the light from the balcony was so bright. We let the staff know but they didn't correct it .Our 2 night we ended up walking to Walgreens and getting some tape and taped brochures over the windows. This helped a little. Nice place, but if you want to sleep at night......don't rent Mansion 1
