I went here because they were open at 6am. The Google picture of the large airy bar is not of this location, which is smaller, darker, and dingier. Floor is carpeted, which is kinda gross, especially when it's rainy.
We ended up at the WRONG Daisy Dukes. Didn't realize there were 2. This one was was not inviting it had garage cans all across the front of the store. We went over a couple of blocks and found the one we were actually looking for but unfortunately Leon had already ordered to go wings which didn't smell very good to me and I'd temporarily lost my appetite.
Food was decent, good actually but not the cleanest place. Will try it once more to see it that day was just a fluke but they don't seem very sanitary. I had to ask if they were going to sweep. I don't want ti eat and see garbage on the floor. And I had to ask for them to wipe the table down. Very friendly less professionalism environment. I like a good balance.
I ordered a Fried Green Tomato Po-Boy with a side of Cajun fries. It was quite honestly the most delicious and comforting meal I have had in a very long time! The lady at the cash was so friendly, and we had a good conversation while I waited for my carryout. Give it a go if you are ever in the area!
I ordered a coffee to go. They have only the cheapest to-go styrofoam and kids that are not meant for coffee.
Love this place. Visited while escaping from hurricane Irma. Waitresses were so awesome and friendly. Food was flavorful, homestyle and every bite was awesome. Small place so there may be a wait, but not too long. Fast service ensures you won't wait to long. We will go back every time we are in NOLA
Waiter had to make change from his own pocket. Coffee was pretty good, though.
