Here's my story-

I should preface this by saying that I've never left a negative review about a product or service before. So I don't think this is one of those reviews you have to take with a grain of salt, like from an overly negative person.

I have been in property management for over 10 years so I've worked with quite a few moving companies for my tenants and clients. On Friday, December 10, 2017 one of my commercial tenants moved into my building. I was ask by the company to explain our move-in policy to the movers. When the movers arrived I introduced myself to them and explained the policy. One of the movers stated that he was fimiliar with the policy because he'd moved someone else into the building earlier this year.

I can't say how the Two Men business operates nationally, but at least this one franchise is owned by.. well.. a jerk, sorry to say. After the move one of the movers gave me a bill, but I was frustrated by having to pay extra for mistakes that weren't mine. Since I moved on a Saturday, I could only speak to an office worker at this branch, and she told me that I had to pay my full bill, but with the understanding that I had some issues and that they would be addressed during the week. During the week I had a really irritating phone call with the owner where he told me that most customers would be happy that their movers showed up early. I asked him about why I didn't receive notice and he just kept saying that I should have been happy about it. I said that I thought the move would have been at least 45 minutes shorter if I had been notified, which I think was fair and logical. He didn't seem to understand the logic. He kept insisting that I wanted him to "pay me for the work that the movers did" and asked that if I didn't want them to do the work, "why did you have them do it?". I explained again that I wouldn't have asked them to do that work if they weren't at my house with a truck, on the clock. That I couldn't move the stuff on my own, just pack it. That if they'd called I would have done more of it myself. I don't know. Either he's just obtuse or just pretended to not understand but in any event the conversation made no sense to me. He also said that the dish thing was my fault for not specifying that I had dishes, but I thought it was implied when I said that I wanted to "move a whole kitchen." I mean I guess my stuff isn't broken so that's good, but I would never use this branch of this company again.

I scheduled a "pack and move" with them, where they would help me pack my things and then move them to my new place. The charges were hourly, plus a transportation fee. On both of my phone calls with them I was given an approximate time, but told that the movers would call me a couple hours before they arrived in case there were any changes. The movers arrived 2.5 hours before they were scheduled to, without a call. When they arrived they said they didn't have the materials to pack dishes so those would have to stay. If I had gotten any notice at all, I would have structured my morning entirely differently. I would have packed more of the stuff on my own, figured out a way to pack the dishes, borrowed a ladder from a neighbor (which I had to do while the guys were there), etc. I really think it would have significantly cut my move time. The movers themselves were helpful and mostly good, but often pretty slow moving (for example stopping at a gas station for cold drinks for about 15 minutes in transit between apartments- while on the clock) and had a really negative attitude at times. I wondered where that negativity came from, but now I know that it probably comes from the top.

I wish google had negative stars as a rating option. This was by far the worst experience that I have had with any company (and I have never written a negative review or complained about anyone's performance). I had three movers and from the start these guys moved no where close to a reasonable pace. There was always one guy somehow missing, and after most major items were loaded or unloaded, a half hour break was taken by all. After several hours of this, I contacted the manager to express my concern and ask him how to proceed/ if he could get involved. He was not able to make it to the move location, so I was own my own and forced to just start loading and unloading items so that we could finish that day.

I really became upset when at one point I entered the truck to unload yet another box and all three movers were hanging out next to our upholstered couch, chairs, and baby clothes smoking. The walls in the home were damaged and we had over one thousand dollars worth of items destroyed or damaged by the "Movers Who Care."

When we finally completed the move, I was not surprised to see that the actual bill was double the low end of the original estimate. I spoke with the office manager first thing the following Monday and I agreed to pay (and have paid) the high end of the original estimate. After trying a number of times to have the items that were broken or damaged paid for by speaking with the owner and also the corporate office, I have gotten no where. The owner is very combative and accusatory- he keeps telling me that I did not pay the bill and that he is not going to fix the damaged walls or pay for the broken items until I pay him more money. The corporate office keeps telling me that they have no authority to do anything because each franchise is individually owned. I honestly don't have the time or energy to keep fighting for what seems reasonable because this has been such a negative experience- I just want it to be over. Obviously I did feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it may spare others from going through the same thing.

This company is completely awful. We were moving out of our 750 square ft apartment into a bigger place a block away. We moved everything into the living room to make it easy on everyone. Mind you if was just 7 pieces of furniture. 2 sofas, a tv stand. bedroom set. Treadmill. Why did it take 4 hours to move that?? Every time I looked out side the movers were talking on the phone, playing around etc. what tops everything off. Is they scratch every piece of furniture we had. Leaving big chips and cracks. They did not wrap anything as was promised over the phone. When the movers first walked into out apartment. He asked "Do u have a tool set." Aren't you a moving company. Why don't you have one. If you are looking for a moving company please look elsewhere.

Absolute horrible experience. Severely damaged furniture that they agreed was caused by them however they said it's damaged beyond repair and only reimbursed me $66. There's an insurance agreement to select that they don't tell you about where you can elect to pay more and get reimbursed at the full cost of your damaged item. How silly is that anyways? You have to pay more to get reimbursed for the damaged furniture. They did not move the rest of my items with it being Halloween night. I ended up moving the rest of it myself from 7pm until 1:45am! There's zero accountability as it's a franchised location so their corporate office won't do a thing about it. Place is being ran by absolute scum who do not care what-so-ever about the actual service, just collecting the dollar. Never will even think of using this horrible company again.

After explaining the policy for the 3rd time because they refuse to do it how I said because "it didn't make sense" (to them) one of the movers started cursing me out (literally) and got in my face and was making hand gestures as if he was holding himself back from hitting me. I was so surprised. My door man had to get in between us. He kept saying "I got him messed up" and that "I don't know him". I have never in my life felt so threatned. I debated on calling the police. I asked him for his name and his supervisors number in which he (Donald) happily gave me. I assume because he knew there would be no consequece with management for his actions. Then one of the other works kept staring at me then asking me why was I staring at him and making comments to the other movers saying "she must like me that's why she keeps staring at me". I urge everyone to not use this company. Don't patrionize a company that would threatned to pysically harm a person (a woman). I was only trying to do my job. I didn't deserve to be treated like that. -Please excuse any typing errors.
