Great beer list, solid cocktails. Service was a little slow.
Food was delicious. I sat at the counter in front of the kitchen. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. I was impressed with the Whiskey/Bourbon selection. Next time I'm inNOLA I'll definitely stop here again. Mac cheese was delicious.
Great meal! The oysters were excellent and totally worth getting. The gumbo was a close second for best appetizer. My friend had the cheddar beer soup which was great. The pork ribs were okay, would get them again, but there are other things on the menu I'd try.
Incredible array of whiskeys and other liquors. I had the Rabbit and Dumplings while my friend had their signature dish, the Cochon. It was all amazing. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful and the room bustling yet cozy. Well worth getting out of the French Quarter Mayhem.
The wood fire oysters were amazing! The chili sauce, garlic butter was perfect. The shrim and eggplant dressing was full of flavor. The duck gumbo was spot on. Wonderful food at the chef table. Great experience watching them work.
For mains we had the cochon and the ham hock. The ham hock was the clear winner.
Trendy restaurant downtown, limited menu, heavily seasoned food. Small portions. Our group enjoyed the unique nature of the food selections, but some of the dishes were almost inedible due to salt and seasoning. (Drink a lot of water - you will thank me).
In my opinion, this place did not live up to the hype, and did not have any traditional dishes to offset the trendy menu. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and made the experience better. I hope my experience was the exception, but New Orleans offers so many diverse and exceptional dining choices, I may not be back.
