Tourists AND locals, go treat yourself!
Food was great. It is just a tiny hallway with great food and good service. Get the bread pudding if you go.
Also, to those commenting about it being in the “hood”, get over yourselves (Nobody wants you
We will return. Highly recommended.
I truly love going to this place. It's the service along with the Amazing food. You don't even think about you being in the hood. I'll go again and again! Yummy!
The food is really good but the portions are not enough for such expensive prices. However, I will not be returning because the area is riddled with dope fiends! Young people walking around like doped up zombies. My husband was upset because I brought him to this area, but he enjoyed the food after pouting for several minutes. I wish you guys would have picked a better spot. That area is so depressing.
I went with a friend for early lunch on a Tuesday. We both ordered "the Superdome", which is a blackened fish filet layered with a "dome" of mashed potatoes. Over that is a creamy lobster sauce and crowned with a few fried onion rings. It was absolutely delicious!
I felt guilty about the price, as this meal is $10 on Tuesday. I have eaten all over New Orleans, and cannot recall a better lunch for a better price than this. Chef Jeffrey and his family were very friendly and gracious. He is trying to do something good in a neighborhood that needs a lot of good. Speaking of the neighborhood - yes, you will be eating in the "hood". And yes, we felt very safe. There is only one table inside and 4 on the sidewalk, so if the weather is not so good, you should plan on getting your order to go.
In town visiting for the holidays and all the positive online reviews led me here. I’m so glad we went because EVERYTHING was absolutely AMAZING and the staff was SO nice and helpful! We ordered the “Super Dome”, a side of macaroni, “Dat Shyt” (fruit punch), and the bread pudding. If you’re ever visiting New Orleans then I highly recommend this establishment as part of your NO experience. You won’t be disappointed! Trust me!
