Best gumbo and best Shrimp Po Boys in New Orleans East in my opinion. I love this place so much, I take all family and friends that visit here because it feels like one of those special places you need to be told about to try. It's amazing.
I've been coming here for over 20 years! I've brought relatives, tourists, friends & the lady that owns it is the best...The consistency, quantity, quality & value keeps me coming back...The ribs, the blackjack chicken, the fried shrimp & now the best French fries on the entire planet! Love the place & the lovely long time cashiers too...Give em a play, you won't be sorry!
We absolutely love this family restaurant. Each time we visit New Orleans we stop by as many times as possible during our trip. I'm working my way through the menu. If you haven't eaten here you have missed out on one of life's greatest pleaures. The owners are so welcoming & personable makes you feel as if they made the food just for you. I can't express enough how great this place is because hands down best home cooked food in Louisiana. It's really awesome.
I ate a big plate of white beans a plate of potato salad I had sweet tea I had a Dixie beer I had a pork chop and I had hot sausage my wife had the same I was to place we both we spent about $30 even and all the food was good that's what I feel about Sammy's and my name is Prescott Stokes
This restaurant has great selection of good items and daily specials. Food is cooked to order and made fresh.. I'm very satisfied with my visit.
